Metal badge and badge production process

Badge: A sign worn on the body to symbolize identity and occupation. Metal badges are generally made by stamping, die-casting, and biting. The surface of the badge can be electroplated with gold, ancient gold, ancient silver, nickel and other electroplating effects. It has the characteristics of simple and smooth lines, concavity and convexity of the pattern, etc. Surface color techniques such as baking varnish, enamel, and printing can be used to make the product more rich.

Metal badge material: pure silver, pure gold, copper, iron, stainless steel, zinc-aluminum alloy and other metals. In recent years, the collection value of badges has become more and more prominent. Especially badges made of metal materials have become the mainstream of badge production, such as enamel badges and imitation enamel badges in high-end badges, as well as lacquered badges, and made of iron. It is a relatively cheap metal badge.

Production Process:

Process 1: Design the badge artwork. With the popularization of computer technology, computer sketches replaced the previous manual sketches. Commonly used production software for badge artwork design includes Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. If you want to generate 3D badge renderings, you need the support of 3DMax and other software.

Process 2: Making badge molds. Import the computer-designed manuscript into the engraving machine program and edit the tool path for mold engraving. Pay attention to the thickness of the knife pattern during the engraving process. After engraving, compare the mold according to the picture to see if there are any defects. Finally, the mold must be heat treated to enhance the hardness and durability of the mold.

Process 3: Suppression. Install the frequently heat-treated mold on the pressing table, and transfer the pattern to the copper sheet or iron sheet and other different micro-chapter making materials.

Process 4: Punching material. Use the pre-made knife mold to press the product according to its shape and use a punch to punch the product down.

Process 5: Polishing. Put the product punched out by the knife into a polishing machine for polishing, remove the punching burrs, and improve the finish of the product.

Process 6: Weld the accessories of the badge. Solder the mold standard accessories or the accessories required by the customer on the back of the product.

Process 7: Electroplating and coloring the badge. The badges are electroplated according to customer requirements, which can be gold-plated, silver-plated, nickel-plated, copper-plated, etc., and then color the badges according to customer requirements, finish the color, and bake at high temperature to enhance the color fastness. Through this step, a complete badge that meets the customer's requirements is produced.

Process 8: Pack the produced badges according to the customer's requirements. Packaging-Generally divided into ordinary packaging and high-end packaging such as brocade boxes, etc. We generally operate according to customer requirements. Badge design and production process: baking varnish, (imitation) enamel, stamping, biting, printing, offset printing, etc.
